Quality management

Budapest Airport Zrt. has established its Quality Management System with the view to guarantee the permanently high quality and continuous development of the Airport’s services as well as the satisfaction of its customers and partners.

The Company’s activity is focusing on the customer. The Quality Management System is developed by the Company in adherence to the regulations, standards and recommendations applied in international air transport on a continuous basis and it lays significant emphasis on on-going training of its experts.

Quality Management was introduced in the operation of Budapest Airport Zrt. in the beginning of 2001 when the Company started to elaborate an independent Quality Management System complying with ISO 9001:2000 international standard in respect of the ground services provided to air vehicles. Following the necessary preparation and introduction, the certificate based on ISO 9001:2000 international standard was issued by SGS, a certification company with headquarters in Switzerland at the end of the same year.

Since then Budapest Airport Zrt. has continuously extended the certified Quality Management System it elaborated for each value creating process of its organization. The Company regularly controls the level of the Airport’s services. It is evident from an international comparative survey conducted regularly by IATA (Global Airport Monitoring) that the level of the Airport’s services complies with, and in certain cases even exceeds, the average in the European Union.

In addition to the ISO certificates for the Quality Management Systems introduced for ground service activities, our Company will acquire additional two certificates: The Quality Management System for security is now being established and the whole company is now being prepared for certification within another project.

The partners of Budapest Airport Zrt. highly influence the image conceived of us so the Airports expects also us to show a quality-conscious and customer-centred attitude and we submit regular reports on our relevant conceptions and development suggestions.
