Budapest, 18 October 2007 – Jost Lammers is to take charge of Budapest Airport (BA) as CEO from Dr. Reinhard Kalenda with effect from 1 December. Dr. Kalenda will remain in his position as chairman of the Board of Directors of BA.
The handover is being performed according to plan and the original schedule, since Dr. Kalenda took on the leadership of the company for a transition period. The handover will be seamless, since Mr. Lammers and Dr. Kalenda will work together for the next weeks until beginning of December.
Jost Lammers previously worked as Managing Director Commercial and Chairman of the Management of Flughafen Düsseldorf Ground Handling GmbH at Düsseldorf Airport. Prior to this he was Divisional Manager and Director at HOCHTIEF AirPort responsible for Düsseldorf Airport.
Jost Lammers said: “I am honored to become CEO of Budapest Airport and to take up the baton from Dr. Kalenda.” He added: “I have spent almost my entire professional life at airports, so I am looking forward to my next task with joy, anticipation and commitment. Dr. Reinhard Kalenda said: “I have worked at Ferihegy for more than half a year, and I have had great experiences here. I am very pleased to be handing over to Jost Lammers, who I know will provide great leadership and drive, working with employees, airlines, business partners and communities. As chairman of BA I will give every support to him to make these things happen.”

Jost Lammers worked as Managing Director Commercial at Flughafen Düsseldorf Ground Handling GmbH from 2004, and from 2005 he was appointed as Chairman of the Management Board. Prior to this, between 2001 and 2004 he has worked for HOCHTIEF AirPort as Divisional Manager and Director of Düsseldorf Airport. During that period he held a position as member of the Supervisory Board of Mönchengladbach Airport too. Between 1998 and 2001 he has worked for HOCHTIEF AirPort as Senior Asset Manager at Athens International Airport.
After studying Business Administration and Economics in Bayreuth, San Diego and Witten/Herdecke, Mr Lammers graduated in Economics at the University of Witten/Herdecke and started his professional carrier in the automotive industry in 1994 before joining HOCHTIEF in 1996.
