airberlin carried the 11 Millionth Passenger of Budapest Airport

Ferenc Liszt International Airport has just welcomed its 11 millionth passengers. Passenger traffic at the airport has broken the previous record in three consecutive years; so far this year it has increased by 10%. The special event was celebrated by the airport with airberlin as the eleven millionth passenger boarded their flight to Berlin Tegel this morning. More »

TAP Portugal returns with Lisbon-Budapest flights in summer 2017

Air Cargo: Wild Horses Flown From the Hortobágy to the Russian Steppe

No less than 14 wild horses (called Przewalski’s horse) kept in the Hortobágy National Park were flown from Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport to the city of Orenburg on the steppe beyond the Ural Mountains. This endangered sub-species of wild horses became extinct in their original habitat, the Central Asian and Mongolian steppe, but some of these rare animals are now relocated from the Hortobágy stock to a nature reserve near Orenburg. Major development: new pier to be constructed at Budapest Airport

The public procurement notice regarding the construction of a new pier to be connected with Terminal 2 of Ferenc Liszt International Airport has been published. With an estimated investment of EUR 16.9 million (HUF 5.2 billion), an additional ten thousand square meters will be added to the current passenger area of the terminal.
