Dror Harel, country manager of KLM Hungary revealed the details of the new flight on the press conference on Thursday. „ As of March we provide 4 connections between the Dutch capital and Budapest. The main reason for the expansion was to ensure our customer’s com-fort. Besides the fact, that Hungarian travelers can easily reach amazing destinations, transfer times will be shorter. For example if someone is travelling from Budapest to Montreal, the customer will have to wait 5 hours less than before. Customers travelling to Shanghai will have a 2 hours shorter waiting time.”
On the press conference, besides the new flight, the new Dreamliner aircrafts also got atten-tion. One of the main features of the new Boeing 787-9 aircraft are the new cabins: fully flat seats on World Business class, 40% more incline on Economy Class seats. Another benefit of the Dreamliner is the using of sustainable biofuel, which means up to 20% reduction in CO2 emissions.
Kam Jandu, Chief Commercial Officertrade manager of Budapest Airport also highlighted the importance of the new KLM flight to Amsterdam. “Budapest Airport is delighted to see a 4th daily flight to Amsterdam operated by our longest serving international airline partner KLM. It is clear to see that with the additional connection via Schiphol, Hungarian business and leisure passengers will be able to access greater connections and improve journey times which is fantastic for all concerned.
Thanks to the new timetable KLM offers shorter connection times to popular destinations such as Bangkok and Havana, furthermore our customers have choice from a wider range of flight schedules to cities like Beijing, New York, San Francisco or Shanghai.
Tickets are available from 32 900 HUF on www.klm.hu website.
As of 27 March 2016 the flights will depart from Budapest to the award winning Schiphol Air-port in Amsterdam at 06:10, 11:20, 13:55 and 17:05, and from the Dutch to the Hungarian capital at 08:40, 11:15, 14:20 and 20:55. The fourth flight to Amsterdam is especially important, because it is unique within the Hun-garian market, that an airline has 8 daily flights. Due to this, the Hungarian audience can trav-el to numerous destinations with Air France-KLM at any time during the day.
