The discount parking prices are valid from 1 July until 30 September. As a result, prices at the Terminal 2 long stay car park are reduced from 9 990 HUF to 5 999 HUF for one week of parking, and from 20 800 HUF to 9 990 HUF for two weeks. The aim of the initiative is to increase the number of clients using the long stay car park during the holiday season by making prices competitive with other modes of airport transfer.
Based on the traffic arrangements established at the airport, passengers about to depart for their holidays are able to drop off their families and baggage on the departure level of Terminal 2 before parking their cars in the safety of the long stay car park, which will be conveniently waiting for them upon their return. With the new prices, this will be equally worthwhile for passengers from Budapest and from the countryside. The latter can thus avoid the discomfort of bus or train rides, and of changing. Budapest Airport can thereby also contribute to the trimming of holiday expenditure for passengers.

The discount prices are valid at the Terminal 2 long stay car park, during the summer season. “It was especially important for us to offer passengers parking products with favorable prices,” said Manel Moreno, head of landside services for Budapest Airport, upon the launch of the initiative. “Passengers can thus decide which service to use based solely on considerations of comfort. We are confident that with these prices we can provide competitive parking services for the passengers of Budapest Airport during the holiday season.”
Concurrently with the introduction of the new discount prices in the long stay car park, Budapest Airport is also reopening the arrivals level of Terminal 2 for the coaches of travel agencies. Due to the limited space available, access can only be granted based on a reservation made in advance, and only for a maximum of 30 minutes. Since nowadays the turnaround times for the flights of low cost carriers are in some cases as little as 30 minutes, the half-hour of access should be enough to pick up arriving passengers. Additionally, the bus parking lot remains accessible for buses and coaches without any limitation, for a price of 1000 HUF per hour. Budapest Airport informed the Association of Hungarian Travel Agents and Tour Operators in person about these developments yesterday.
