Notes to editors:
A small statistical error has been discovered, in which airline statistics provided to Budapest Airport have historically double-counted passengers on some code-share flights. This means that Budapest Airport’s reported passenger statistics have been historically overstated by a range of between 4,000 and 16,000 passengers per month. This error has now been corrected, and Budapest Airport is therefore restating its passenger figures from January 2004, removing the statistical error.
Although the restated monthly passenger figures are marginally lower than those previously published, the underlying growth is unchanged and Budapest Airport continues to grow strongly.
