Budapest Airport’s route to Russia with Wizz Air

Agadir adds to Budapest Airport’s African network

Having started the year with no direct services to Morocco, Budapest Airport will end 2017 with two cities from the North African country on its destination map, as Wizz Air seeks to begin flights to Agadir on 31 October. Budapest Airport united with US once again

In a major piece of network development Budapest Airport has announced the resumption of US services today, as LOT Polish Airlines confirms flights from the Hungarian gateway to New York (JFK) and Chicago O’Hare. Welcoming the arrival of regular 787-8 scheduled services, the first flight due to launch on 3 May 2018, with New York being flown four times weekly and the Chicago sector operated twice-weekly. Budapest Airport last week hosted its 10th Annual Awards Ceremony, an evening of recognition for its highly-valued business partners which have made important contributions during another record-breaking year for the Hungarian gateway. Financial support for new routes - In order to receive the financial support the operation needs to be year around service with at least 3 weekly flights. A new route is considered to be a service which has not been operated by any other airline 1 year before the launch. Considering the financial side of the incentives, the payment is a retroactive crediting. More »

Budapest Airport united with US once again

In a major piece of network development Budapest Airport has announced the resumption of US services today, as LOT Polish Airlines confirms flights from the Hungarian gateway to New York (JFK) and Chicago O’Hare. Welcoming the arrival of regular 787-8 scheduled services, the first flight due to launch on 3 May 2018, with New York being flown four times weekly and the Chicago sector operated twice-weekly.
