Főtaxi’s several hundred cars, trained and experienced colleagues ensure a safe ground to satisfy the passengers’ needs at high standard. Taxi drivers knowing at least one foreign language are in service with ‘A’ category big-size cars younger than five years. All cars are equipped with POS terminal, therefore passengers can pay with credit card as well.

Reservations can be made in person at Főtaxi booths located at the exit at Terminal 1, Terminal 2A and Terminal 2B terminals. At the taxi rank in front of the stands taxis are parking continuously waiting for passengers, in case of a special request there is only a few minutes to wait for the taxi arriving from the nearby parking.

Budapest Airport and Főtaxi will continuously monitor the service, thus regular checks, test purchases will be conducted, or have them done so that high-standard service will be ensured for passengers arriving to and departing from Airport and using Főtaxi’s service in a long run.

Főtaxi will use the following rates to transport passengers between Airport-Budapest and Budapest-Airport.

*Prices include VAT. The rates refer to a ride from the airport to the given address, thus excludes the surcharge arising out of the passenger’s special request beyond the given address.

The rates given in the table are the maximum fares, which Főtaxi can charge at the different Districts.
At each ride the taxi meter will be on, thus if the amount on the taxi meter upon arrival to the given address is lower than the sum officially given for the given zone, the passenger need to pay only this amount. Passengers reporting at the Főtaxi stand will receive a voucher, which contains among others the fare. This voucher can be used at eventual passenger complaint, thus it is recommended to keep it.
