Are there any computers available to the public at the terminals?

No, such a service is not available at the airport.

What are the opening hours of the airport shops and restaurants?

The opening hours of shops and restaurants are adjusted to flight departure times, but are not determined in a uniform manner. Nevertheless, passengers on the airside and visitors on the landside will always find operational food and beverage outlets at the airport during any time of day, but they may have to go to another level within the building.

Is there a pharmacy, a chapel or a post office at the airport?

A chapel is located in the departure hall of Terminal 2B, on the mezzanine level, over-the-counter drugs are on sale in all Relay shops at the terminals, and a post office is available in the departure hall of Terminal 2A, on the mezzanine level.

Is there a baggage storage service at the airport?

Yes, the baggage storage service is available on the ground floor corridor at the SkyCourt in Terminal 2. For more information, please click here.

Are there any bank branches or ATMs at the airport?

There are no bank branches at the airport, but passengers can change money at the Interchange counters. ATMs are available both in the public areas on the arrivals level and in the transit areas of Terminals 2A and 2B. On the departure level, an ATM is only available in the transit area, near the escalators facing towards Terminal 2A. For more information on ATMs, please click here.

Is it possible to change money at the airport? What currencies are accepted at the shops and restaurants?

It is possible to change money at the Interchange counters. The shops and restaurants at the airport accept Hungarian forints and euros, and the Heinemann Duty Free shops accept other currencies as well.

What should I do if a product purchased at the airport is defective?

Are there any facilities at the airport where smoking is permitted?

Both terminals at Budapest Airport are non-smoking areas. Smoking is only permitted at the designated smoking areas, in the public areas outside of the terminal buildings, at a distance of at least 5 meters from the entrances.

How can I reach the first aid service at the airport?

Any airport staff member can call the first aid service, or they can be contacted directly by telephone on (+36 1) 296 6399. This number can be dialed free of charge from the information telephones located in the public areas of the airport.

When will the visitors' terrace at Terminal 2 reopen?

Budapest Airport planned to reopen the visitors' terrace located on the roof of Terminal 2A in 2012. Unfortunately these plans had to be abandoned due to the bankruptcy of Malév, since in the new situation, no financing was available for this project; Budapest Airport had to spend the funds available for infrastructural developments on other projects that are essential for the operation of the airport. Currently, the earliest tentative date for the reopening of the visitors' terrace is the summer of 2013.

There are no public showers and changing rooms at the airport.

Does Budapest Airport have a mobile application?

Yes, it does; the mobile application of Budapest Airport can be downloaded from App Store and Google Play ; it offers useful and practical information for passengers, e.g. flight information, info on parking, shopping, and other airport services, the terminal map, and news updates. With the application called BUD Airport the time spent at the airport can be made more comfortable and more useful both for departing and arriving users.
